Whether first or seventh year, it's never too early to start thinking about what you want to be after you leave school. Some of you might choose to pursue jobs in the Muggle world which is just fine, but today we are going to be looking at some of your options should you choose to take your talents to a career in the magical world.

This week's theme is Wizarding Vocations.

Your challenge this week is to create a Human Avatar depicting a job in the Wizarding World.

Some rules for this challenge: 1.) NO SCHOOL UNIFORMS. Your HA represents a career after education. 2.) Please include the career of your HA. 3.) Bonus points may be awarded to particularly creative entries.

Each member may only submit one avatar, and each avatar to successfully adhere to the challenge rules and theme shall be awarded 10 House Points!

This challenge will end on Monday, November 27th at 11:59PM!

Lysandra from Ravenclaw is dreaming of becoming an Animagus, especially a feline-like one (even when she knows she wouldn´t be able to influence this anyway). She knows for sure she wants a career in Care for Magical Creatures and would like to specialize into the ones living back in the elven forest. Besides the unicorns and speaking birds there, the forest is home to unusual magical felines, many species not known to the outer world until this date. Lysandra thinks that being an Animagus would help her understand the creatures even more. She is planning to build a little hospital in the secluded center of the forest so she would be able to find and heal creatures in need quickly.

She owns and operates a large veterinary clinic, complete with animal hospital and Heli-pad for animal transport. Due to her medical expertise and success as a surgeon, Aria has been recruited to perform life-saving procedures on animals from all over the world. She has been asked to perform on rare animals such as unicorns, giant pandas, belugas, ringtail cats, hippogriffs, polar bears, centaurs, merpeople, veela, and more. She has created waves in the political world by treating sentient magical creatures (Like veela and centaurs) and trying to advocate for them to be treated at human-wizarding-based hospitals, if their anatomy is the same as humans.

Aria has written several textbooks available to students at wizarding schools. Some of her texts detail magical creature anatomy and how best to deal with them. She has also written many laypeople books about a variety of topics relating to her veterinary surgical practice.

Jona has only known about the magical world for a little over a year now, but he is inspired by the work his uncle does as a veterinarian in Glasgow and would love to make a career out of something similar, but for magical creatures. He imagines himself traveling great distances and being called upon as the only person with the proper knowledge to care for rare and extraordinary creatures like the Thunder Bird or the Nanaue or maybe even a Peryton or two! Also, upon meeting Fade (), Jona also hopes to be sporting a colorful hairdo to really add to the cool-ness of what future him will embody.

Keet wants to be a magical artist who paints moving portraits of people's magical pets. She feels like this occupation will encompass both her love for magical creatures, and her passion for art. She also wants to acquire a license to breed pet fwoopers as a side job. Her pet fwooper's antics bring her joy, and she wants to be able to share that happiness with other witches and wizards.

~~ Fade, Ravenclaw. Private Outfit Fade doesn’t know it yet, but someday when he embraces his inner unicorn he will become a very sought after alternative high-end fashion designer. The fabrics he designs will all be crafted with rare materials like unicorn hair and acromantula silk. The textiles will then be hand painted and brought to life using moving, glowing, or shimmering patterns. Utilizing his metamorphmagus abilities Fade can adjust to any shape and size making face to face interaction unnecessary. A celebrity's agent simply needs send him their measurements and they can be sure to have the perfect fit every time. As a hobby I can also see him collecting ancient magical antiquities.

Thanks :3 I worked a lot on his back story and eventual character development over the summer so I am really looking forward to playing him out. My first character (who you know only too well lol) feels pretty static and I've been struggling to make her really grow.

When Gwen graduates she is becoming a Magizoologist who goes around and studies the magical creatures. She wants to write books and work with the Ministry to protect all the different creatures. She doesn't want to limit herself with one species though.

She is out today looking for a creature that lives near waterfalls. The creatures that you see around her are just a few that she keeps in her 'backpack.' The pack has a Undetectable Extension Charm on it so she can comfortably house her animals.

Magnus wants to be a healer, but he's also considering being an artist for the Daily profit.

Ever since she was young, Marcia knew that baking was to be her calling in life. After graduation, she hopes to open up her own magical bakery, perhaps even on the famed Diagon Alley. Most importantly, she wants to specialize in charmed sweets that can entertain the customers, as well as baked goods made with various well-meaning potions like Felix Felicis, Invigorating Draught, and happiness potions, therefore giving her customers the effects of whatever potion they'd like, but in a much more tolerable, delicious way. This is the reason she studies extra hard in both her Charms and Potions classes!

Niamh Doyle (Gryffindor) wants to be a Curse Breaker like her father. She sees herself working in Egypt, and eventually being more successful than her father has been.

Luck would work in Muggle Relations at the Muggle Liaison Office. Already with a background in the Muggle world she would bring her knowledge about Muggles to work. She would be one of the first on the scene of a Magical Accident/Catastrophe to administer Memory Modification charms to Muggle witnesses.

Outfit Not Found Hollynd's fallback is to take a job as a potioneer. She's particularly skilled at brewing tricky potions, like love potions. Her first choice is to marry a rich, handsome man who adores her, like the princes from the Muggle fairytales she read as a child. In all seriousness, she'd like to invent an important potion and then retire to focus on family and friends. If all else fails, she’ll run away to Muggle London and become a prima ballerina.

Aderyn's dream is to be a healer at St. Mungo's when she graduates. Here she is depicted picking plants of all sorts for healing potions.

Tanwen Huebner: After spending a few too many times in the Infirmary due to various accidents while learning she decided that she would like to pass on the kindness of the nurses and become one herself at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.

As a career, Elizabeth considers working for the British Ministry of Magic - either at the Department of International Magical Cooperation or the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. She sees herself as head of one of the departments. However, she currently leans more towards International Magical Cooperation as she has a thing for perfection and international standards and cooperation. She always keeps her work with her and loves to wear robes in fancy, rich and dark colours.
